This blog will get updated with time as the project progresses
I am a final-year engineering student from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP). I have been contributing to open-source since my early years of starting university and am very excited to be part of Google Summer of Code 2021. A poem about everything I want from life.
I wish life could be fair to all,
And people’s ambitions couldn’t be hindered or stalled.
that people may have things they want,
Or at least the necessities wouldn’t be scant.
I wish we didn’t have biased opinions,
And no one would force their dominion.
that people may always use their free will,
And we all could sustain mutual goodwill.
I wish we cared less about others,
Nor compete with ourselves and get our insecurities smothered.
that people could easily find their soulmate,
And then no adversity could snap their sedate.
And the connection between Science, Technology, and Humanism.
When we talk about pandemics in the context of science, technology, and humanism, everything goes back to geographical explorations that unified the entire world. It led to a worldwide exchange of people, animals, plants, and diseases. While most of the things can be seen as a good consequence, the last one has been hitting us hard, leading to several pandemics that humanity has been through as it is tough to contain a highly contagious disease to a place. What if there exists no causality.
Imagine a world starting from scratch,
Observe the changes in the subsequent batch.
For long we have been just hunters and gatherers,
And now that we are sophisticated fathomers.
How did we come this far,
Would you credit nature for this haphazard?
But is nature really as it seems,
Just a program of random schemes?
If that is really how things work,
Think again about the scenarios getting worse.
Think about why do pandemics occur,
And all sorts of losses that…
This is the place, “The Main Building” from where your journey starts with freshers’ welcome in Netaji Auditorium where you are assigned a new tag other than being IITian, yes I am talking about being KGPian. At moments during the presentations, you feel like being a shooting star, out on the verge of the rest of your life. Now comes the series of nights when society people leave no stone unturned to woo the freshers to get in their Introductory Seminar, giving them a variety of reasons to come. The most interesting reason that I remember is,
